The Destiny Class is a triumph of Starfleet's warp propulsion research. A vessel of long-range deep space exploration, it utilizes a new warp nacelle design that boosts efficiency in the forming of the cascading warp fields. That means that the computational speed possible with bioneural circuitry is now paralleled in the nacelle performance. Instantaneous responses to speed and navigation changes are now possible, and with the new technology tied into the Inertial Dampers and the Structural Integrity Fields, the "ride" remarkably smooth. The vessel sports upgraded sensor technology for Astrometric mapping, and continuous holomatrixes were installed throughout the vessel, allowing holographic personnel to be accessible throughout the vessel. These improvements make the Destiny Class truly state of the art. Its defensive capabilities are equally advanced, allowing the crew to defend the ship admirably.

Model Details:

I modified the command disk from the Enterprise "E" kit, and used an inverted segment of the engineering hull as a connecting neck to the ships engineering hull. An Enterprise "B" secondary hull serves as the engineering hull and from it stretch streamline scratch built nacelles.
