Cardassian Assault Cruiser

The Swallowtail Class Assault Cruiser represented a new direction in Cardassian design...widening the wingspan of the warp fins and refining their powerful disruptor cannons. It is a smaller and leaner vessel compared the Galor and the Keldon classes, and as a result of the refinements to the Swallowtail's warp fins, she is also a faster ship. Below are images taken after the release of the first fleet of Swallowtails during the final days of the Dominion War. Immediately upon their arrival at a Klingon colony they were engaged by a small fleet of Vor'Cha variants named the Vor'Dahg class.

Model Notes:
The core of the hull is built from a Batwing kit, modified to make it thinner. The wings are scratchbashed from the Batwing's wings and styrene. The tail fins were constructed from leftover BOP and Galor parts, and the command wing is a modified part from the Galor class. A base of desert tan, with a slightly lighter tone for panel aztecing and a touch of light brown marker created the patterning.
