K'aOS Class
Klingon Tactical Attack Cruiser
Klingon Rouge House LeS'TaHT

Another vessel in the Armada of the outlaw house of LeS'TaHT, this class is built completely for battle. Like the other ships of this renegade house, the K'AoS class attack cruiser has been constructed from stolen or captured ships from other rival houses. The K'AoS class is a vicious predator, fast and very heavily armed. With a gattling gun torpedo launcher configuration on the forward weapons pod, three aft torpedo launchers and multiple disrupter cannons fore and aft, this class rivals the firepower of the larger NeGh'Var class capital ships. The ship's killing power further strengthens the Outlaw House power and threatens to further destabilize a whole sector of the Klingon Empire. Little else is know of this class, and it's defensive capabilities...from shields to armor.

Model Notes:
This bash, the second in what I call the three ship Klingon Project, was a personal challenge project. I had a free day and thought I would see what I could build in 24 hours. This ship was the result and I have to say it's one of my favorites. The weapons pod is made from a modified and inverted command hull from a Galor class ship and part of a Japanese Anime ship (which I cannot remember the name of...). The neck of the ship is the backside of an Ent. E nacelle, greebled with other parts of the Anime ship, and armored with plates cut from thin styrene. The body of the ship is bashed from a base from the Slave One kit. Modified wings from a Vor'Cha kit fit over the two longer arms on the Slave base and were blended with sheet styrene. The front of the base was sealed with styrene and blended to the neck with misc. greebles from the parts boxes. I cut additional armor plates from thin sheet styrene and layered to hide any seams. The nacelles are modified from a K'Tinga kit. The struts were made thinner, and the nacelles were modified to make them leaner and more interesting. The ventral hull that descends from the belly is part of the body of a SW droid. It all came together with paint, using a base of Model Masters Anthracite gray, with two aztec colors (Anthracite gray and platinum mixed, and Anthracite and Gunship Gray mixed). The plating was done in Field Green with highlights of Green zinc and darkened Field green. Details were done in Jet Exhaust and Flat Black. All in all a very satisfying challenge bash.
