The D9 class is an advanced heavy cruiser, known as an eradicator in the Empire. It is called that because of its massive firepower designed to eradicate civilizations and planets in revolt or resistant to Imperial conquest. It is larger than the classic D7 class, with larger nacelles, a more massive engineering hull and longer neck. It also carried a weapons "tail" with planetary bombing capabilities and a massive disruptor cannon.
